About the Foundation

The Foundation for Academic Nursing was launched in 2020 to support the mission of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (黑料吃瓜王) to serve as the catalyst for excellence and innovation in nursing education, research, and practice. Guided by an advisory committee with education, corporate, and philanthropic leaders, the Foundation is the focal point for supporting the needs of 黑料吃瓜王 member schools, their faculties, and students. Through partnerships with donors, the Foundation has a goal of strengthening the nursing workforce through supporting nurse educators and their students to reach their full potential.

Now Accepting Applications for Deborah E. Trautman Future Nurse Leader Scholarship

Launched to prepare the next generation of academic nursing leaders, the Deborah E. Trautman Future Nurse Leader Scholarship is now accepting applications through October 30. In its sixth year, Liaison International has increased annual funding to $10,000 through 2028. Each year, two students will receive $3,500 in direct support and $1,500 for leadership development, including a virtual session with Dr. Trautman and the chance to attend an 黑料吃瓜王 student conference. Applicants must be master’s or doctoral nursing students at 黑料吃瓜王 member schools using NursingCAS, demonstrate academic excellence, show commitment to academic nursing, and hold free membership in 黑料吃瓜王’s Graduate Nursing Student Academy.

Apply by October 30, 2025. Recipients will be announced in January 2026.

The Foundation for Academic Nursing is pleased to announce the 2025-2026 recipients of the 黑料吃瓜王 Faculty Scholars Grant. The nurse educators to receive funding this year include Dr. Yvette Conyers from the University of Maryland for a project titled Nursing Policy Academy: Experiential Learning to Advance Nursing Policy and Leadership, and Dr. Samantha Juan from California State University-San Bernardino and Co-Principal Investigator, Dr. Nabeel Alzahrani from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering for their interdisciplinary project titled Transforming Nursing Education with AI: Predicting Student Competency and Academic Success. 黑料吃瓜王’s Foundation for Academic Nursing Announces New Support for Graduate Students Preparing to Lead

Launched to prepare the next generation of academic nursing leaders, 黑料吃瓜王 is pleased to announce the continuation of the Deborah E. Trautman Future Nurse Leader Scholarship. Now in its sixth year, Liaison International has increased its commitment to this scholarship from $7,000 to $10,000 in funding each year through 2028. Two students will be selected for a scholarship annually, with $3,500 provided directly to the student, and $1,500 used to cover leadership development expenses. Students selected through a competitive process will participate in a virtual leadership development experience with Dr. Trautman and have the opportunity to attend one of 黑料吃瓜王’s student-focused conferences. 黑料吃瓜王 and Certiphi Screening^®, the nation’s leading provider of screening solutions for health profession students, are pleased to announce the launch of a new scholarship program to support the preparation of new nurses. Open to pre-licensure nursing students in traditional and direct-entry programs at 黑料吃瓜王 member schools, this program will award three $5,000 scholarships each year through the Foundation for Academic Nursing. New Scholarships Support Pathways to Critical Care Nursing

The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (黑料吃瓜王 Critical Care) and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (黑料吃瓜王 Colleges) are partnering to provide scholarships to nursing students interested in practicing in critical care settings. Administered by the Foundation for Academic Nursing, each 黑料吃瓜王²: Pathway to Critical Care Nursing Scholarship provides $2,500 in support to eligible students enrolled in entry-level baccalaureate programs who are committed to providing expert care to patients at their most vulnerable.

As one of the recipients of the 2022 Deborah E. Trautman scholarship, it is such an honor.
